So one of the ponds I fish (five acres) the owner seems to think his pond is overpopulated, but all the fish you catch are between 12 and 15 in. plus they're really fat. I've caught one alittle over five pounds and another guys caught two eight pounders out of it. How do you tell if a pond is indeed overpopulated? Because one guy alone took 50lbs of fish out of it last year, so I'm thinking that it's balanced. And there's tonnes of minnows and big bream in the water.

Lots of short, skinny bass.

If the ones you're catching are all fat, it certainly sounds like they have plenty to eat.

If you jump in and give the water a hug an a fish happens to get hugged, you've got a lot of fishing to do. #redneckadvice

Honestly that sounds pretty good. The bass can't all be huge and if you are getting some 5 to 8 pounders in a five acre pond I wouldn't complain.
