Don’t discount the many creeks, marches, inlets and backwater in the area as well. Assuming you’re a bass fisherman since you’re on this site, so your bass gear is perfectly appropriate for targeting reds, trout and flounder in the above-mentioned areas
I’ve been a Stradic guy for a long time but I’ve started accumulating Daiwa spinning reels lately. Primarily for the rigs that perform double duty in saltwater.
Don’t really think you can go wrong. Choose the one which balances better in your rod.
To me, the Z-man is a good choice for swimming or dragging a bait in open water or very light cover. That head shape is not a good option for working a bait through rip rap or chunk rock.
