  1. yeah I also wonder how it compares to the poison adrena 7'4 regular.
  2. Im very curious about that Expride 7'4 heavy, I cant decide between that Expride or the p5 BMG for my 3/8-3/4oz pitching and short casting jig rod for something like a siebert grass jig or a dirty jigs flippin jig.
  3. That’s kind of what I want to avoid doing. I’d rather test it with my 7’4 and then but a nicer setup if I like it.
  4. Thanks everyone. I will hopefully end up buying a nice rod if I like fishing them, I just want to test it out a bit first.
  5. 7'4 heavy fast Tatula, my current frog rod. Rated up to 2oz. Do you think I could throw something like a Chad Shad on that?
  6. Do I need a designated swimbait rod to throw treble and jig hook baits in the 1-2oz, 6-7in range? Or will a 7’4 work in a pinch. I’m trying to see if I like fishing them before I go all in.
  7. What brand free rig weights do you use?
  8. Thanks very good points that I didn't really think about. In the video he shows different amounts of pressure so I'm sure that would be a better example, but still nothing like using the rod in person.
  9. I know it wouldn’t show you all the action but I think something could be learned from a wall test like this.
  10. I’ve never looked at the Loomis JWRs much but I saw an Omnia video about this model. I was surprised to see how slow this rod looked when bending it on the wall. Definitely not what I’d picture a traditional JWR action to look like. Does anyone that owns this rod have that experience? Also I’d love to hear if the IMX pro and NRX+ models both feel a bit slower than you’d picture for a JWR. Seems like a good braid to leader rod to me. I’ll add a picture of this rod from the video
  11. How do you feel about ripping bladed jigs through thicker grass with that rod? Is that a scenario that you’d use a rod with faster tip?
  12. Thank you! A video would be awesome if it’s not too much trouble. I like the rod bending videos Omnia does but I don’t think they’ve done one on this rod.
  13. So you’re saying the zillion has a softer feeling tip section, but once you get into the blank it’s a bit stiffer? So all in all it feels slightly more moderate than the Orochi Brallist. Like somewhere in between the Levant and Orochi Brallist? Or am I oversimplifying the difference between them? I’d use the zillion as a pitch and casting jig rod for 1/2 to 3/4, with braid to leader, basically in place of a Orochi Brallist even though I’ve never owned one personally.
  14. Anyone here have this rod? How fast is it? How would it compare to a little more “moderate feeling” fast, like the Orochi XX brallist?
  15. Do you think this will raise prices on sites like Digitaka?
