  1. Beautiful Fish @gim
  2. gim…. We in same club for once. I sucked so bad on Sunday I got depressed. Wind made boat control a challenge I failed. Struggled with my new Curado, got a minor backlash that turned into solid snag and buried the line in the spool, but I caught a fair amount of coontail…. Yup, I sucked.. 😩

  4. So much to learn from you guys and looking fwds to it. First I gotta figure out how to resize a pic on my IPad so I can post one so you see what kind of yahoo your “chatting” width. In 50 yrs of fishing never paid any attention to bass and after that first SM I caught up on Mille Lacs 2 wks ago, they have my attention. Looking to take advantage of all the lakes near me for quick trips to learn LM. I live in Zimmerman and aim to go flog away soon. All I really know and have gear for is walleye and Muskie, gave my salmon stuff away. So thanks in advance. Rod in Zimm
  5. I don’t own a smaller casting reel specifically designed for casting lighter tackle such as a curator or bantam (I do have several Tranx for musky 😁), I currently have several Abu C4’s I use for bottom bouncing wallys and have tried using them for casting 1/2oz lures with about a 75% success. They are spooled with 20# braid. I really have to ride the thumb to avoid backlash (have adjusted spool tension numerous times with no real difference). I am wondering if I would benefit from a real dedicated casting reel like a curado or bantam (Shimano fan) or is it my technique and I just need more practice? (No prob casting 2 - 3 oz musky lures on my Tranx) Any positive comments encouraged & welcome 🤗 Rod in Zimm
