For my compact jigs I use a 2/0 little nasty.

I have 2 of those. I use them mostly for jigs under 1/2 oz and spinnerbaits along with 3-4” swim baits.

My go to in stained water is the bleeding shiner spinner bait.

I’ve tried several and Seaguar red label is good enough for me. I buy it in 1000 yard spools in 8 and 12# .

You might get some rubber cement and put it on the bottom of some dividers and see if it holds them in place.

I used to use the FG knot for all leader applications no matter the size of the braid or fluorocarbon leader. I bought the gizmo for tying and never had a knot fail. I did 15 wraps each way, 2 half hitches and a Rizzuto finish. After 9 hand surgeries spinning setups are no longer possible and I don’t use leaders with bc setups.

We went looking for smallmouth yesterday. I haven’t been able to go much so I had lost track of them. I decided to go to the bottom end of the lake and fish bluff points and channel swings and normally good flats. Working several areas we only had a couple of small spots and smallmouth. After 3 hours struggling down there I headed back to mid lake and started looking at 10-15 fow. Mid lake was the ticket. We wound up with 18 bass, mostly smallmouth with a few keepers. The Ned rig, shaky head and 1/2 oz brown living rubber jig were the productive baits.

I was hunting at the time my grandson was born. I started taking him dove hunting when he was 3 and shooting at 5. I bought him a bb gun with no sights so he would learn instinct shooting. He went through bbs by the 1,000 and later 22s by the thousand. He grew up to be a sniper.

High vis yellow or white is all I use.

Not personally owned a Ranger in a long time. I just know their reputation and see a bunch on the water. I ran a Champion for 14 years.

I agree that the Ranger platform is very stable. I am sure that you know a 19’ is roomier and more stable than an 18’. Champion 196 would be a good choice.

Duracell agm 110 ah agms are what I bought for $279.99 @ with 30 m warranty installed by Batteries Plus for free. That way beat what I would have paid for my usual + $100 for installation and only a 24 m warranty.

Can you post a pic of the ear ring thingy and how you use it. Spots are hard on my Fat Impact Keitechs.

I only use the Pitzen. I switched to it years ago because I can tie it in a few seconds even in the winter with gloves on. One of my old fishing partners uses the Palomar exclusively. I can retie and make a cast or two while he is tying it.
