Best Terminal Tackle Box

Featured Replies

Any suggestions for a Terminal Tackle box that won’t let hooks slide into other sections. None of my Plano’s keep terminal tackle in place.

Check out “bead organizers” on Amazon. Same concept as the BKK terminal boxes with small individual labeled boxes that all fit inside one case. I’ve been using them for a couple years. Great solution for organizing jig heads or even skirted jigs too.

I use these slide-top boxes for hooks, neds, jika, shakey heads, dropshot/neko weights, etc. Smaller size fits up to 4/0 hooks, larger size fits up to 7/0 hooks

You might get some rubber cement and put it on the bottom of some dividers and see if it holds them in place.

This year I swapped to the BKK OCD organizer. And I absolutely love it. This is the basic box (which comes with 5 small and 5 medium boxes) and then I’ve added 4 or 5 additional packs of boxes. It isn’t a cheap solution but it is perfect for me. How well it works for you depends on how many and how many different things you carry, plus how you organize them. For me, I put all of my worm hooks of a given size into the same box regardless of EWG, straight, etc. Same for jig heads (but not Ned heads). The footprint of the boxes partway between a 3600 and 3700, but a little deeper than either of those. I also appreciate that it is reasonably waterproof.

I’ve put a lot of money into this fight over the years. My favorite are the Flambeaus with the removable cups instead of dividers - fairly cheap and really easy to work with.

I was using the Ryugi “Hook Keeper” accordion things for a while, but found that they are better suited to the bank/pond bags than the boat - me and ziploc type seals just don’t get along, leading to too much time lost.

I’ve also put together a little 3500 size box with just a few of the hooks/sinkers that I use all the time and keep it on the front deck - much faster than pulling out the big boys and less likelihood for disaster when the wake boats decide that I need to do a remake of “The Perfect Storm”.

Used some clear silicone on mine to keep dividers from moving. Hooks kept slipping underneath the dividers.

I just bought the Evolutions outdoor terminal box. It does just what you're looking for.
