Texas rigged Stingray grub (1/8 oz weight, #1 EWG hook) is deadly in thick brush. 4” ringworm on a weedless darter head is a good one too.

Way back when I had my 8’ plastic boat/floating suitcase, I limited myself to 2 rods, a Tackle Logic worm bag, and a Plano “Mini Magnum” full of hooks, sinkers and jigheads. There were a couple of those 79 cent Cotton Cordell spinnerbaits (blue/yellow of course) in the worm bag as well.

I can’t tell you why, but I was absolutely convinced that the second I put my vast collection of hard baits (at the time enough to almost fill my Woodstream “Bass Boss”) in it, they would be good as gone.

Now I have an 18 foot fiberglass floating tackle shop and look back wondering if I might have been onto something back then.

It is an older color - “Smokey Shad” or something like that.

Duo, like most JDM manufacturers does a lot of “one and done” colorways and distributor exclusive drops. Unfortunately, not many get the big collector market value.

Fish it and have fun, that’s the real value.

Bass Pro XPS run about $5 and are surprisingly good. Check the $1.97 box at your local WalMart - there’s usually a few Big O’s in it.

That is a perfect rod for chasing deep fish.

Deep cranks (8XD, 10XD, DD22, etc) flutter spoons, big tail spinners (shh!! It’s a secret!!), I’d also use that for dropping swim jigs off in deep water.

A friend of mine that does a lot of crappie guiding uses a 5 gallon Igloo water jug with one of those Frabill portable aerators rigged up through a hole in the side. Keeps them in good shape in the heat.
