  2. Roboworm also works EXCELLENT on a shaky head... Use a drop shot more when fish are suspended or the lake has a really mucky bottom, shaky head on hard, clean bottoms.
  3. Have tried the standard circle hooks/dropshot hooks, and found my hook-up ratio to be terrible... Straight shank hooks, no matter the brand, have been immensely better for me. For weighted, I like the Buckeye Flick-it head in 3/32 with a GY Senko, have caught some pigs on both setups...
  4. anyone want to sell any of these ned heads? Never fished it before, but would like to try it
  5. I've caught fish at all times of day on a popper this year, a new one I tried... I can make this popper walk, spit, or pop, and it looks good and catches fish like crazy! This popper is... Drumroll... The Academy H2O popper! Yall need to buy a couple, well worth the money, I'm not kidding!
  6. I would as well...
  7. think about maybe a watermelon color jig with a red trailer, that would match crawfish in my area part of the year
  8. I caught my limit on it on a day when otherwise I would have had one fish, all at the back of a creek in two feet of water, prob caught about ten keepers... I try to feel the bait in the same way, but as I was throwing it with a swimbait, I was keying on the thump of the swimbait tail... Caught them at first light, and at about 1:30 pm.
  9. Thanks for the info, guys... The Sahara hasn't messed up again, and I have not cleaned at all... The Sedonas I have owned for 2-3 years, and they started binding after I cleaned them...
  10. Currently, I like Dirty Jigs, but these jigs look just as good, if not better, and cheaper to boot!
  11. I have fished some lakes where color seemed not to matter too much, but I fish a few lakes where a certain color is just always the best, and I don't really know why, but that's just how it is...
  12. I just started throwing these a lot in the last two months, fishing it like a spinnerbait. I put a Keitech 3.8 swimbait on the back of a fish head spin..
  13. I think both work, I usually try to match, but I'm gonna try mixing it up some this year... I'm just gonna try to make sure that when I mix it up, I'm still using natural colors and trying to imitate a forage.
  14. Idk what the prob is with the Shimanos, when they work, they work well...?
  15. Keitech 3.8, and Zoom Fat Alberts ( Yes, they work fantastically!) First tourney I won on A-rig, was on the grubs... White pearl is a good place to start on color, and get a few clear baitfish colors too...
  16. Lol, my wife HATES when I bring that stuff inside (JJs), she threatens to kick me out of the house! ? I've used it a good bit, and usually it doesn't seem like I get more bites with it, but it does seem like the fish hold on to the bait longer sometimes... But I catch plenty of fish without it, too. I do like using the Spike-It pens to color the tip of my baits, but again, doesn't always seem like it makes a difference... If you are gonna use it, double bag that sucker! ?
