I had a friend many years ago who told me, You have what I need. It took me years to really grasp that statement.  Tommy had what we need.  What he gave us is priceless.  He was a pay it forward perso

d**n. I was wondering if I would see this thread soon and really wished I wouldn’t.

When I think about how much I’ve learned about bass fishing over my decade+ on BassResource, Catt is one of the members  who played a big role in my learning. Lots of his words stick out and have directly translated into me being a better bass fisherman.

“Rate of Fall, baby! Rate of Fall!”
Every single time I tie on a jig or Texas rig, I hear Catt’s words. Every single time, no joke. Makes me really ponder what weight I’m throwing before just tying it on. Just one of the many things I’ve been taught by Catt.

RIP Catt.

I was wondering why he hadn't posted in a while.

Thanks for your contributions here Catt.

Such a loss!  He helped so many fisherman for so many years.  Truly a giving person and a great man.

He was one that I always clicked on his threads.

Yea, a lot of sadness this year. I think sometimes, it’s hard to know how to feel.

RIP Catt.

I've only been a member since 2013, perhaps it's time for a Hall of Fame page so new members can see who the original leaders were?

I will miss him. I always appreciate his input on a matter. He was an encourager.

  • Super User

This was not unexpected but dammit.

In my 16+ years here he was always, and i mean always, willing to help. I had many conversations about fishing, life, and kids/grandchildren.  I will miss you, my friend.
