12poundbass's post in Trolling for bass? was marked as the answerI too find trolling boring because that’s all I did as a kid walleye fishing. The only time it was fun was when I was driving the boat and there was a chop. Ten years old 3mph and 1’ waves… I thought I was king of the water! 😁

12poundbass's post in Should I be using Polarized sunglasses whilst fishing? was marked as the answerPolarized sunglasses aren’t the end all be all to eliminate all glare on the water but it does help a ton. My wife doesn’t wear them and there have been plenty of times we’re fishing and I’m seeing bass swimming around and I tell her there’s a big bass here or there and she can’t see them. “How can you not see that bass right there?” I always say, then I remember she doesn’t have polarized sunglasses. I just use a cheap $25 pair of Kastking sunglasses and have been happy with them over the years.

12poundbass's post in Work stress.... was marked as the answerDoes stressing about the situations solve the problems? If not, why stress about them?
When I first started my career I would stress over the workload I was given. It was impossible for me to complete on time. I would stress out to no end! I talked to my supervisor about it and he told me to do what I could do and it’s his job to figure the rest out. As my career grew and I worked my way into supervisory roles, I used that same advice to my technicians. That advice along with me being able to identify and take care of potential problems before they kept my technicians happy and the turnover was almost zero.
Another thing I’ve learned over the years is people can be toxic! Let’s face it, some people can handle stress and other people can’t. The ones who can’t need to vent and some of them just like the gossip. They’ll pour their stress all over you and if you let that get to you even though you can deal with your own stress, their stress will gobble you up if you’re not careful. I had that at my last job. One of my coworkers was a great guy and we had a lot of fun together but, at the end of every month when I our deadlines were approaching he’d stress. He’s also a gossip hound. I’d let him spill his guts and it would go in one ear and out the other. If you’re not able to do that, stay away from the noise.
At the end of the day, if you’re constantly stressed there’s a problem and you should go to your management. If management doesn’t identify the problems and try and fix the problem and it’s so bad it’s affecting you, it might be time to start looking for something else.
I hope it all works out for you in the end.

12poundbass's post in Bar in Echomap Plus was marked as the answerI’d buy another Garmin Echomap so you can link them together. I’d put the new one at the counsel.

12poundbass's post in Echomap vs Striker was marked as the answerEchomap comes with preloaded maps and quite a few of them. You can go Garmin’s site and see if your lake is one of them. From my experience most of my lakes (and they’re small lakes) were included. Striker has everything but preloaded maps. Striker has QuickDraw so you can make your own maps but, it’s time consuming.

12poundbass's post in It's That Time Again was marked as the answerTruth be told it’s really you the members. Things very rarely get off the rails and threads rarely get closed. Disagreements naturally happen from time to time but, everyone is respectful when they disagree or debate. So thank you all for making the site a friendly and enjoyable place to be and thank you to @Glenn for starting it and everyone else who works behind the scenes to put this all together.
