I've been hunting this same bass since he threw my bait 3 days ago. This was the first time I could actually see him since the wind died down a little. I was throwing a chatterbait at him with no luck so I wacky rigged a 5 inch red shad senko and thought I had him but after feeling it I thought there was a larger bass at the end. Then after playing with him for a while (to wear him down) it ended up being a 4 lb 5 oz catfish. Had a pretty good fight though. At least I know the bass is still there. Maybe tomorrow.

I'm fishing at Tilden Rogers park in West Memphis, AR. Its a local park with a sports complex and a small pond that the game and fish commission stocks. I guess they stocked it with big cats this time. I saw plenty of people dragging out 3+ lb cats. I went back this evening and was using a black/blue chatterbait and caught a 5 lb 13 oz cat. I wasn't ready for her. She put up one heck of a fight. Gonna bass fish early in the morning for a few hours then grab the cooler and catch some dinner. 2 catfish caught today that total over 10 lbs using bass baits. Lol!

Yeah I went today but they weren't pulling as many out today. The wind was around 15 MPH but I did manage to catch as couple of bass this morning one was nice. Caught one on a chatterbait and the bigger one on a watermelon rage tail on a black/brown jig. She was guarding her babies as they were swimming on the top. I put the rage tail right in front of her and she couldn't resist it. I was 2 feet from her. Released her so she could be a good mom. She wasn't huge but decent for the pond I think. My scale said 1 lb 2 oz but she felt heavier. There are bigger bass in there. I was trying to sight fish but the wind killed it. Here's a pic of her and u can see how the pond is setup in the background. The rocks go all the way around the pond.
