Can't thank you all enough for all the tips mentioned here. The very first fish I hooked I landed. The FIRST crankbait fish I have ever landed!!!!
Here's what I learned:
Swapped my rod out.
Kept my floro.
Removed my snap swivel and attached a regular snap (50# I think?)
Increased my treble by 1 size.
Set my drag properly.
Easy set of hook.
Work the fish easy but firm.
PUT HER IN THE BOAT!!!!
Do an Iaconelli celebration! (never done that before, I was excited!)
THANK YOU ALL AGAIN!!!!!!!
