Looking into some of the Loomis GLX rods, but want to hear what one would be best....as well as other brands for this. Looking to use mainly with 12lb fluoro, and to throw 3/16-3/8oz jigs in mostly 5-15ft of water....need to feel everythng
Thanks!

would 843 glx be a good choice for this?

I use the 843 to throw 3/16 Biffle hardheads with a Reaction Beaver and it works well for this. It works equally well with a 5/16 jig and a Paca Chunk. Anything heavier I would opt for the 844 though. I haven't used the BCR803, but I'm very happy with my MBR843 and MBR844.

There's a MBR843 for sale in the flea market for a fair price. Just a heads up in case you hadn't seen it.

Any of the 3 power BCR GLX rods will work for that.

I can't speak to the 843, but I do have an 844 glx. Idk If its just my perception, but the 803 just feels more "alive" in my hands. Dont get me wrong, the 844 is a bamf, but the 803 is perfection. Perhaps it's the recoil guides...
