It was a brutally hot tx day on the res and we had a couple of spots we thought might produce for us, but we certainly didn't expect what happened next. Got to the first spot and totally blanked, not even a nibble. Checked in on a coue of old faithful spots with just as much success. Talked to a couple of buddies that had a couple keepers and they were fishing deeper so we adjusted at our next spot and caught a good keeper. We decided to run to the spot I was most confident in, knowing it would probably have someone fishing it. Got there and it was like a ghost town so we were able to get set up right on it. We started fishing this spot at about 9:20 am and by 10:30 we had 20+ pounds on 6 fish! ( we do a buddy teams 6 fish limit ) It was an absolute crush fest! I felt bad for my partner because he was landing fish and weighing them and recording weights more than fishing!! Final weight was 25.71and we didn't have a fish over 5lbs, it was amazing. We have never caught more 4+ pound fish on one spot in our lives out there. Big thanks to matstone for hooking me up with the goodness!!

Thanks, it was a fun day. We were catching these fish in 20-28 feet of water! Thankfully we had some fin weights to keep them upright in the livewell!
