Well I think we came a little late this year and missed the big run as we saw quite a few dead Salmon on shore. Anyway we caught two decent size ones both have already been ate, last year had 16. We were out all night long in weighters. This is the following morning when we decided to call it a trip. Some people keep the eggs out of the females to cure them over the year so they can use them the following year but we just said to hell with it and had em gutted so we could go home and eat.

Nice, I was going to go up to Oscoda to my grandparents house to try salmon fishing last weekend in the Ausable River but had a change of plans at the last minute. I've never been salmon fishing before but it looks like fun. Nice fish.

Oh yeah youd have a blast, they can really put up a fight. I heard the Salmon are still running strong in some areas and will be til early november, just where we go anually we were late.

and im pretty sure your wrong, its an outing.. in the other forum people talk about other species from what ive seen while they post outings here.

I don't pick fights. I just think that it belongs elsewhere. The listing is:

Rodney King himself has had a difficult time since 1991. Despite being awarded a multimillion dollar judgment from the city of Los Angeles, he went bankrupt. He has had several  run-ins with the law including arrests, charges filed, and some convictions -- motor vehicle offenses,  drug, spousal abuse, soliciting a prostitute, etc.

He may have been unfairly treated by the cops, but if someone has it coming to them, then no, we can't all just get along.

BTW this topic was almost off the 1st page so you could have said nothing, and it wouldn't be as big of a deal, that I thought this belonged somwhere else. If I had been "PICKING" a fight, don't you think I would have resonded to his reply to me? I didn't. He got his jab in, and it was all good.

I've got no beef w/ you either Syfer, but why you gotta call me out?

GO, Those are some nice fish. The one in the bottom pic has a look on it's face like it just saw a ghost or something scary. Is that you in the pic? My brother has that same scully.

And IMO 4biz is right.  It would technically go in the "other species" forum. If you look in that forum, alot of people talk about their catches of "other species".  But I think if it really mattered, the mods would have moved it.  Oh well, no big deal.

I missed out on a 34.5 lb sack this weekend, and I still haven't been out. I think I'm getting a little cabin fever! Sorry if I came off like a pri(k  syfer and everyone. it been a long couple of weekes. i gotta get out. there is a sweet storm rolling in.

I Call em how i see em. Im not a kid, neither are you, so saying you didnt do it to start or as you said get a jab ,in is questionable. Ill use your line of thinking it was going off the first page, why call him out in the first place??? either way i wasnt using rodney king for his strearling record, i know his past he just sumed up what i felt needed to be said. Answer me this, would you have be that snappy and sarcastic with a new member who may have made the same mistake? I dont think so, from your other post you sound like a great guy all im saying is whatever happened, hapened all people who give respect deserve it.


PS im not fighting with you i think your a great fisherman, hell im not half the fisherman you are. It just I feel like this is the only forum thats doesnt turn into ticking contests every post, and everyone reaally seems to actually like each other!!! where else online can you find that???

Salmon always have a mean look on their face when their caught for some reason it seems like. BTW, its 10 Fat Ikas and 10 Fat Fish   , also for Salmon these really are not all that big compared to how big they can get but we got enough off each fish to pass around to a few familly members all while having around 3 dinners for each of us. LOL @ the skully, it isnt mine it just mystically appeared in the car and I had no hat so I put it on. It did keep me warm all night though.
