  6. Ive been using a tiny hook and little bits of gulp trying to catch my own live bait. And it works good, maybe too good. In the lake around the corner from me its little tilapia, do bass not eat them??? i cant get a bite on them for the life of me
  7. i do but there is a major problem ive figured out, its so weed chocked it eliminates half or more of my lure choices, i alsop cant get a topwater bite going to save my life. Any advice on lure selction?
  8. well she was cuaght while cheating with live bait, but i actually have a good reason i had lost several lures ( 7 dollar powerbait jig included :'( ) and i just wanted to know if there was good fish that were worth it. But i use anything weedless now becuase weed chocked
  9. thanks guys and seriously anyone who wants to come fishing here just PM me. theres Honestly any kind of fishing you like, dock, Lilly pads, weeds, open water. Never seen a place quite like it
  10. the above article of the gill removal works like a charm, and don't feel to bad about the hook Ive caught so many healthy bass with hooks in there gut or head area its not even funny. Thanks to that article though every time i do catch a bass with a hook still in him, i remove the hook safety. It makes me feel good
  11. And BTW this laked was stocked by the FWC and anybody in this area (or those willing to make a trip) feel free to pm me. the fishing is amazing either in a little boat or a bank beating.
  12. I had one of, if not the best day, of fishing ever. I heard of this place literally down the street and around the corner from my house, also heard there was some big bass in there nuff said. I went there and started talking to a gentlemen who lived on the lake and was fishing off the bridge, well to make a long story short as we were ending the conversation he was telling me if i wanted to barrow his canoe just knock on his door, as i was thanking him this big girl hit. He was nice enough not only to hold her but snap some pics for me as well.

great fish, bet that got your heart pumpin
  14. great fish did u catch that big un from the shore?
  15. I used to fish owner cutting points exclusively, but when the fish thrashes sometimes it makes huge holes. I remember my line slipping off all time but i never figured out why. Ive been forced to switch to cheaper hooks anyway. BPS hooks are my favorite and cheapest quality hooks.
  16. that's so awesome besides just being a brilliant idea they look really cool. I cant wait to get my hands on one
  17. and by the way what kinda rod you using that isnt a carrot stik by any chance is it??
  18. nice striper man its always fun to catch fish no matter the species. You look a little suprised though ;D
  19. thats great man awsome fish. Where are you guys fishing, little pond or big lake? and what is slayin em so bad
  20. thanks a lot bro i love to hear about new spots, especially since i never caught a peacock bass before. Does anyone know about the Jupiter canals i believe its c18??
  21. Does anyone know of any canals with good shore access , in either martin or palm beach county's?
  22. First off let me say i pretty much exclusively fish water hazards and smaller ponds. if you wanna know for absolutely sure what size of fish are in the lake try live bait, shiners are great. Than if you get big uns to hit that, id follow up with a swim bait in similar size and color
  23. if you don't have dehooker ( rapala makes them cheap) turn the hook upside down with the eye of the hook facing out of the gill then put your hand through the gill gently pushing the hook upwards. Ive found that 90 percent of the time the barb isn't in the fishes stomach but do it gently just to be sure. When i use live bait they tend to get gut hooked ever once in a while but this works great for me.
