  6. Catching a huge fish doesnt matter as much to me as looking super cool doing it nice shades and kick arse hair 8-) lol, oh and great fish also
  7. Wat up alex, niice fish. When are you gonna let me come down there and show you how to peacock fish? Cause you know i got all my peacock experience when i lived in jersey : lol
  8. I have no advice for your bites but i know to watch the products with deet because i heard if you get in anywhere near your hands or bait or anything else in direct contact with the fish it will detract not only the bugs but the fish as well. BTW dont you love these florida bugs? :-/
  9. Great fish nuff said
  10. Sorry i missed you that day, glad to know you had an awsome day though. Nice pig of a largie
  11. Nothing like fishing with freinds. Nice fish guys
  12. Road you must have mistunderstood, ive cought countless numbers of big bass on my tiki sticks but happened to have none left at the time when fishing and cought the 5 lber. Countless 2-4 lbers for 20 cents or countless 1 lbers and one 5lber for 1.00 a peice?? I just catch more qualitly fish, heck i just catch more fish overall with them. Lower price better and fishing now thats a good deal Now let me get the 10 lber im going after in FL and Mr yamamotos baits will be a no show in my tackle box.
  13. I have literally tried most the other hooks avid mentioned and as he so eloquently put it gamis loose there sharpness after one or two fish not quality in my book >. And Sal i think you misunderstood, the cutting edge is what Raul said was easier to set the hook becuase of its thin to thick blade like edge as oppsed to gammis conical shape. If gammis are hunting knives i think owners cutting edge are Katana's made form japanese steel P.S. wow raul what a crazy post, that was one of the most informative, well put, post ive read so far
  14. I have the ultimate tip, i promise it will work. I lived in NJ and fished a small pond in 30-50 degree weather and i hated how slow the fishing was, so i got on a plane and moved to Florida : Now for my serious answer SLOOOOWWW DOWNN!!! anything your using just slow down with it. I used worms for example, and dead stick it for up to a minute or more. I also used smaller weights (to make the falling action much longer) and twitching it just barely after letting it hit the bottom completely than dead stick than twitch and repeat the whole thing again. Good luck friend
  15. I strongly disagree. IMO ive been fishing with tiki sticks for about 2-3 years now they are my best cosistent producers ( the swimbaits ive been using latly are killer also though) I think you cant beat a scented worm expecially verses a salt inpregnated one. Sorry Mr yamamoto your red and black senko did catch me my PB but for 2.99 verses 6 bucks you cant beat a wave worm. BTW troutfisher they used to have a 7 inch version called the snake and a 10 inch called the anconda, if you look at the sight they changed it to a curly tail type bait. thats the only thing i agree with troutfisher about too bad maybe theyll bring it back.
  16. How do you tell what strain that bass is?? im just curious. And BTW did you start your fishing school yet??? ;D ;D ;D
  17. Ive been having a problem with hooks dulling after 2-3 fish cought on the hook. So i went to wally world and looked for the sharpest hooks they have and saw the gamakatsu and than the owners cutting edge, and the cutting edge just looked way sharper. I ended up with the owners and havent lost a fish on them yet as long as a get a decent hookset the bass can jump, run , or tug as hard as possible. Im stuck on owners even at 4- 5 dollars a pack
  18. Went to west palm beach this weekend to school my brother in some fishing.... turns out after putting a crank bait in his hand he ended up schooling me. Apparently he found his go to bait a red and black deep diver wich he slammed at least 3 fish per day that were all over 2 pounds. He even had a nice big pig maybe 3 and a half pounds. Yesterday i slammed them though and ended up catching the big fish of the weekend. Oh and my brother also caught the biggest crappie ive ever seen ( than again they dont get nearly as big in jersey as they do down here in the south) The best thing about this lake is its in my brothers backyard
  19. Very nice blue gill, Ive only cought gills by accident usally on a spinner or cranks. Even though the cranks are usally so big that i wonder what the fish was thinking
  20. niiice fish brother, im still waiting on my FL 10lber also. Its sad my Jersey PB far outweighs my FL pb

Excellent info guys I'm really getting into frog fishing. I'm even thinking about purchasing my first expensive setup mainly for plastics (worms and frogs mainly) and suggestions on specific rods and reels, what type of braid also?
