How are you getting spotted sea trout from ponds? That's amazing! What I meant is that I can read a pond like no other, but knowing where to fish a lake (without a radar) I'm lost. Some people can look at a lake or river and know exactly where to toss their lures. Not me. Help me out.I live in eastern nc and from my experiances dependsing where u fish ive caught bass large mouth and hybrids, blue gills, spotted sea trout, puppy drum and thast from the fresh water pond and creeks and rivers.

I'm from Edenton, NC and I seem to catch bass when I am not looking to but I can't when I'm trying. I fish with different types of lures but I am a beginner when it comes to bass fishing. I have not figured out all of the different techniques but I love to try. Fishing gives me peace and to catch a fish gives me joy. Can someone tell me how to fish for bass in the different weather conditions and the type of lures that go best with the water conditions.
all i can say is read the forum and articles. there is a vast wealth of knowledge on this site, ive learned a ton and spent hours reading stuff....

The advantage of Bass fishing is that they are so agressive. If you happen upon them during spawning season, you only need to run any old hook across their bed and they will pick it up to move it off of their eggs. Otherwise they are opportunists in that they will always fall for something injured, slower than others the same, or tasty like worms, snakes, lizards, or crawdads. As a kid I used a live lizard ONE time and as soon as it hit the water I had an explosion of water where the Bass attacked and "SNAP!!!" my ten pound test line broke. I don't know if live lizards are socially acceptable as bait, but based on that one time I would recommend them to anyone. But there is also many plastic lizards available. I haven't had much luck with them and I think it's because I rig them like worms: carolina rig style.I'm from Edenton, NC and I seem to catch bass when I am not looking to but I can't when I'm trying. Hope this helps a bit. Good luck!
