for me its strike and the split second of is it a bite or a snag and then the fight, the fight is what i live for

the spotted sea trout were coming out of creek which isnt far from the nuese river.

I will cast any where from 10 to 20 times depending on the area, then move around but if i end going over a spot again its not with the same lure

budget would probibly be around 150.00 and yes spinning rods

Ill be deploying here in the next few monthes, and knowing that when i come back with some extra saved up cash, Im looking for ideas on a new rod and reel either combos or sepereate rod and reel....does anyone have good suggestions on where i should look, i used to fishing with a 6 ' med. action ugly stick and have used it for close to 5 years, figure its time for a new rod and reel....

Wondering if anyone out there has ideas on cleaing reels besides just breaking them down, reason im asking is that i live close enough to the coast that its not really dirt but a sandy mixture so sand likes to find its ways into the reel, ive heard of ppl hosing if off with fresh water and wiping it dry does that work or are there any other ways?

I live in eastern nc and from my experiances dependsing where u fish ive caught bass large mouth and hybrids, blue gills, spotted sea trout, puppy drum and thast from the fresh water pond and creeks and rivers.

Boaters going near my line or attempting to go under it, or if im surf fishing surfers going out near my line....

i've always found a pair of hemostats come in handy for when they swallow the hook
