Anyhow the first rod that I broke I threw it away thinking I must have set my trolling motor down on it rushing between spots or something not even thinking of trying to make a warranty claim. The next weekend while fishing media on verret the same thing happened to another rod shortly after a very rough journey across the lake. At this point Im pretty
I email abu customer service and tell them my story on Monday and they promptly respond with instructions on where to send the broken rod and they agree to waive the $10 handling and shipping fee in an email. I send in the one broke rod with a copy of the email and a description of how they broke and even mentioned it could have been my fault. I also sent the receipt for the rod I threw away thinking it was a long shot to get it replaced also but figured what the hell, this was on a Tuesday and I next dayed it through work so they received it on Wed. I get home Friday afternoon(same week) and I have both rods on my door step!
I have had plenty customer service dealings in my life but none as impressive as this. They basically replaced one a rod on my word..very rare IMO. I will not be switching from Abu anytime soon. Figured I would share this as things like this do not happen too often. :thumb up2:
