First 6+ pound smallmouth since 2011

Its been too long since I have landed a 6+ pound smallie. Been a drought since 2011 that I really cannot explain. This fish was caught on a KVD 2.5 Squarebill on Moses Lake, WA 9/12/2015. Went just over 6lbs on the boga grip. Not a PB smallmouth but close, within about 3 ounces I suspect. About ten minutes later caught a 5.3/4 LMB on a spook so not a bad morning considering I had just under 18 pounds in 5 fish before 7:30am.
