Thank you all for your help. I ended up going with the pflueger summit and it is awesome. I already own a trion so i wasn't surprised with the summit's performance.

I feel the same way, but some reels and rods are over 300$!!!

I trying to decide which rod to get both are probably going to be 6'6 long and 2 piece. The shimano convergence has the lower price, but the cabelas fish eagle 2 is more popular. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Try taking the hooks off and puttin them in the dishwasher.

Just use a texas rig and you wont go wrong.

I would just rig it weedless and toss onto moss piles, slop, and other weedy areas that u cant go wrong with.

I fish farm ponds a lot and if the pond is mossy or has algae on the sides there's no better lure than the scum frog. Just drag it across the moss slowly and watch the bass explode on it.
