    I'm looking to spool up my new baitcasting reel. This reel will be used mainly for bass and walleye. I have never used a baitcasting reel for bass ...always a spinning reel. I'm a recent convert to baitcasting. I have used Spectron on big musky reels and like it. However, a braid seams like overkill for bass and the like, but I really like the qualities of a braid. Does braid tend to spook bass? Should I stick with mono? What do you guys like or dislike (brand, test, etc.)?
