Does anyone have any suggestions for an inexpensive keel protector for an 18ft bass boat? Didnt want to pay 3-400$ for one. If you do where can I get it?

Jig Man, Thanks for the information. Like I said I have very little history dealing with this and I appreciate your help. I understand what you said about the jumper wire but what should I do with the other Red wire? On the jumper wire, Should I just make something up out of similar sized wire to use for this? Your help is greatly appreciated.

I just purchased a 92' Nitro 180FS boat with a Motor guide 12/24 volt trolling motor. My question is about the trolling motor wiring. Coming from the trolling motor are 4 wires 2 red and 2 black. How do I wire these to the battery/s to get 12/24 performance. I have little to no history in this matter. Please help I need to go fishing.
