  1. robbor started following Megabass kanata
  2. For those of u using the kanata. Do any of you weight it to more closely suspend? How to do so? Hooks or suspendstrips?
  3. Ive fished alot of buzzbaits that head design doesnt look to hot. The best buzzbaits Ive fished were stanley jigs brand, they will reel slow, very little drag and very sharp hooks. I find it more benefical to be able to control the speed, you can always reel them faster, but a heavy buzzer wont go slower. The stanleys are almost imposible to find, but if you run across a 3/8 one buy it, you wont be sorry. Ive drilled my blades also and have really not seen any differance. I also prefer no clacker. If you miss more than about 5-10% of your strikes you are having to reel them to fast.
  4. I bought some Bass Pro SHops brand lures way back, spinnerbaits and buzz. The spinnerbaits were absolute garbage. The felt like Sh!T and fished poor. The buzz was way over weighted for prop size and I missed so many fish. The hooks were really bad to put it nicely, and buzz head ended up breaking on be after a few trips. I also bought 2 PBS brand rods. Both were heavy and clunky. Never buy BPS brand gear unless you are not picky at all.
  5. For a single blade I always throw the terminator night bait. Ive always felt confortable throwing it during the day in lakes with crappie espically ones with heavy cover. They have great feel for the blade turning. Im sure any quality 1/2oz sb that doesnt have really heavy wire will do just fine. Id recomend if you want to slow roll deep you down sized the blade one size though.

  7. I have some questions. Id like to get into flippin and pitching more and want some equipment advise. I used to have a BPS flipping stick, never really liked it, bump on handle, heavy, and a tad to stiff in action 2oz. I was using 1/2oz jigs at the time. The rod got thrown overboard a while back by kid i took fishing, teach me to do something nice. 1. Ive seen some flippin sticks for $75 are there any good light quality ones you would recomend? 2. I always hated the telescopic section, are any not telescopic? 3. Id like a pitch/flip rod for 1/4 and 3/8 finesse baits as well, what would you recoemend? Im thinking i should get a normal stick and them a lighter action stick
