  1. new to fishing, need a rod and reel

    as you can see i need a rod and reel. i wasnt getting anything expensive so like 35$ for the rod and 35$ for the reel. ill be fishing trout, bass, bluegills, and some other stuff. just wondering whats a good basic rod length and action for a newb like me. i was thinking of a berkley lightning 6'6" medium action rod with a Abu Garcia 100 series reel. What do you think.
