Ok here is the finally update I got it running it is great it was worth everything I had to do. The wire from the kill switch to the key turn-on was disconnect so I reconnected it. Then we drove down to the local boat ramp near by. Where I had Ithe scare of my live. I have a 2001 GMC SONOMA with the 4.3 has no problem pulling the boat my problem was when I was backing in the boat ramp. There was some green stuff on the ramp so stop with the back wheel not touching the water when I got out the truck started to slide into the water I quickly jump into the truck and hit the brake I slid for about another foot and stop my back wheel was completely under water. So I put it in drive and got all over it nothing. This guy with a 4X4 truck came by and pulled my out I was so lucky not to lose my truck. ANyway back to the boat I sprayed it with starter fluid and it started right up I ran it yesterday until the 5 gallon tank was just about emtry. The motor ran great can't wait to go fishing this weekend. Thanks for everyones help.

Ok I have replace the following iten on my 28 Johnson Power Pack, 2 new Coils , @ new Spark plug wires, 2 new spark plugs, sensor, New Battery, and fuel pump. And it still don't crank. So I go and start looking at all the wires thought the boat and under the steering wheel some of the wires are disk connect or have corrsion all over then and some look like they never have been replace. I also found a big snake skin that came off a Diamond Back yet to find him yet. Hope I find him dead then alive lol. Anyways could this be my problem and if it is any help on rewiring a boat. Thanks for all help. Any tricks anything please help???

Hey everyone I just bought a bass boat 2 weeks ago. We took it out this week to go fishing in it after we spent 2 weeks clean it and getting it prepared for the water. We were heading down one of the side creeks of the St. Johns when the 28hp Johnson quit and would not starter back up. Thank god the trolling motor was strong enought to get us back in. I have checked on pretty much everything I though it could be and still it will not crank. What could it be. Please any help??? Thanks
