Do any of you guys fish cranks/spinnerbait/buzzbait/etc. with a swivel tied on? I've always tried to shy away from this, thinking the fish could see it or that it would hurt the action of the bait.

Well I'm thinking he could have been around 8 pounds ... which is close to a Massachusetts record. But maybe he was only 6 pounds ... who knows.

I've been throwing them into/near lily pads and structure for the past few days, still nothing. But I'm going tonight ... in about an hour actually ... maybe I'll have some more luck today.

How much does a bass weigh that is about 20"-23" long, and with a decent girth? I caught this big boy about a week ago, and didn't have a scale on me!!! > Sadly I let him go, I feel like I made the wrong choice there, but oh well. I know you guys won't be able to give me an exact answer, I'm just looking for an estimate. I caught him on a 7" green pumpkin/blake flake senko.

What is the mystery to catching fish on these things!!! I've only been fishing for about 4 months, but still, I've never caught a single fish on either. Well, I've caught a few tiny guys on in-line spinners ... but that's it. I have a 3/8 oz. jig and a few 1/4 oz. jigs in maroon and black, I use culprits cut in half as a trailer most of the time. For spinnerbait, I use a booyah in a black/brown color, and one that is white/charteheuse. Help!!! :'( >

Spoons and Inline Spinnerbaits are what I started out on. Very easy.

I loaded up on Jigs at the begining of the summer, and haven't caught a thing on them.
