  1. Thanks again.Just fixed it and waiting for trolling motor to be repaired and i will be tryin git out. Now I got an extry 64 bucks for cold weather gear so I can get an earlier start. WooHoo!
  2. Thanks for the inputs folks. I was told it wasn't a good idea, but if anyone should know it would be you folks that make this a great site. Going to fix it and test it out and save myself 64.00 Thanks
  3. Just wondered if anyone out there has ever spliced thier transducer cable??? Its on the trolling motor so its not quite as critical as the console?
  4. Having driven through pretty croded freeway type roads getting to the lake, I experienced blowing a tires on a single axle trailer and being in the middle lanes durin gbusy times. New set of depends were required!!!!!! :-[ With dual I could have gotten over pretty easy and not flipped the rig. Just added safety, but important when you have to travel
  5. Regular drums are gonna rust on ya. Beer kegs or plastic is the only proper way to build a yacht!!!!!! ;D
  6. Cheap schedule 40 1 1/2" stuff attached to plexiglass or plywood for the rod end and previous suggestion for the butt end works good. I cap the other end for the rods so I can't push the rod tip out the other end and get it hung up when I am in a hurry and not paying attention!
  7. I get alot of stuff on Ebay for less money than elsewhere. Just gotta be patient and if they make it , ebay will have it. Just watch the shippings charges closely. If you see decals frm a different boat, try going to the sellers store, he may have something there that you need.
  8. Very good suggestion Ballistik!!! Most of us wasn't aware that dirt can seperate the membranes and allow water through. How do you people remember all this stuff :
  9. However, one other thing to that, Brotherinlaw bought one and we went 300 miles to get it and everything was as advertised witht he small exception the engine overheated when trying it out. We left without boat and person said he would get it fixed and bring it to us. That never happened, then I seen it listed again. But in all cases, be willing to drive off w/o boat if it doesn't pan out and always be in contact with the buyer. I never give the immediate money they want and tell them I will have cashiers check with me. If he/they can't trust me that far, I have no desire to do business with them either.
  10. Bought mine off Ebay but handled the actual payment individually. I talked to the seller a couple of times, then got cashiers check and headed out. THe boat was as advertised except trolling motor didn't work properly. The decision to buy was still up to me since i had not forked over check, but since its a warranty deal, bought it anyway. Best way to do it is bid what you want to spend and then inform seller to shoot you a second chance offer if it don't sell. The one I bought never got to the reserve price, got second chance offer and bought. I didn't get a world beater of a deal but I got alot of boat for the money. If you can't talk to the people ont he phone, don't buy it!!!!!
  11. SOrry about the spelling folks, can't believe this keyboard does that.
  12. On the trolling motor, since it is wireless, how would I do that???? The guy traded this in on a new Skeeter while getting the annuals down on his end, "Geez impulse buy or what" and he told the dealer it was working fine.
  13. Frogtog and HPBB: THanks for responding. The extreme front area of the bunks do have some light between the boat and the bunk. I looked and the bracket for the fron part of the bunk is "not" adjustable. After reading the two responses, I was thinking about taking the weight off the front roller, unbolting it and moving it Forward until the it has no weight on it at all. THis will rpobably cause the bow of the boat to be equal or lower than the front roller. THe back pad of the bost in about 1 inch from the end of the back end of the bunk. SO if this happens then the choices, I guess, are to install a adjustable bracket and lift the front of the bunk or take the frame of the front roller and cut it lower so the eye can snug up against. Which would you guys do???? I appreciate your responses. IT helps "big time" to have folks lie you around here. Jim
  14. OKay folks, Need help with a trailer. Just bought a 21 ft bassteam in perfect condition. Trailer is a good one although I don't know what the make is. :-[ After going all through the boat the following two problems exist, since i have your attention ;D 1. The boat is hard to recover because the bow slides under the front bow roller and when you finally get it up, there seems to be alot of weight on it. I have had 3 other boats and none has had any weight put on it, just snugged up with winch. The front of the boat doesn't seem to be resting on the bunks like it should. Any suggestion?? :-? 2. Has anyone had any experience with the new Motorguide Wireless trolling motors? I plug this one in and it goes on high and can't shut it off or turn it down. I can gett eh remote to turm it but nothing else. I have tried the reprogramming suggested by the book NO help. > THanks>
