  1. sorry about that. i know you musta been p.o.'ed big time.
  2. cool pix dave!
  3. it was real nice to get out and catch a good 'un today after a pretty lousy month so far. a young 'un with the flu, being sick myself , cold weather, gale force winds, and several other excuses too numerous to list, have made for a less than memorable fishin' month. i finally caught a break today and got 2 nice ones on a tube in about 30 minutes. the first was about 3.5 and then this pretty 6-10 pictured below. it was great to hear the drag again on my little spinning reel. c'mon springtime!
  4. wow those look as good as anything i've ever seen in a store. i'm totally impressed!
  5. good job dave. that thing looks great.

congrats. glad you got to get out and catch a good one.
  8. check! check! check! check! check! (i think) : check! i also obsess over knots, camoflaging braid with a sharpie, and planning almost every outing the night before as if it were a military invasion. (which invariably makes no difference b/c i will always cut off the baits i tied on the night before and replace with something else when i get to the lake.) but now that i realize all this is normal, i'll cancel my next psychiatrist appointment. no, wait a minute, the voices are telling me not to.
  9. this sounds like fun. great idea! i'm in. largemouth division for me. in the words of the ufc's big john mccarthy - "let's get it on!" good luck to everyone! here's my avid tribute entry pic (minus the layers of winter clothes) ;D
  10. thanks dave and bizz. right now a 14 INCHER out of tn would be cool. ;D 31 degrees and snowing here yesterday. c'mon springtime!!! and wrb, that's a GIANT man. rock on!
  11. yeah, i've always used the system restore to save myself from my own computer stupidity in the past. this was the first thing i tried this time, but the computer won't let me do one. when i click on it, a white screen that says system restore in the top left hand corner comes up, but that's it. no writing, directions, or places to click. totally odd. that's never happened before. i've tried accessing the restore several ways and i always get the same white screen and it won't go any further. i'm gonn a try fooling with some of the stuff moe suggested. thanks for y'alls help.
  12. were you adjusting the resolution? no, i don't think so.
  13. i was fooling around on this antique computer last night messing with settings trying to make it a little faster (big mistake, i'll never do it again) and somehow i've messed things up so that the bassresource site is different. 2 things i immediately noticed were that now no one's avatar pic shows up under their name and the window to type a message/reply/topic now only shows a color palette icon - nothing else. no link icons, no quote icons, no smilies, nothing. what do y'all think i have done and how can i fix it? any and all help would be appreciated. keep it simple if you can - i am a complete computer idiot. thanks a bunch
  14. congratulations on that awesome bassin' milestone!
  15. what an awesome deal. congrats to ya big time.
  16. ;D good one lee. well i'm hopefully gonna take my little 6 y.o. emily tomorrow. if we get some smaller, i will sure enough be using 'em for lunker bait.
  17. maybe with a little luck, i'll have a nice fish to show y'all soon. the bite is heatin' up around here (at least until the next cold front) i've been a few times this week and have caught quite a few in the one to 3 pound range. they have really been smackin' a red rattletrap here. also caught a few on a jig and a tube yesterday. the bite slowed a little today, with only 3 bass, but then again i didn't fool with 'em long b/c i got into a buncha big gills which were a blast on the ultralight. as you can see these things were hand-sized and then some. hopefully things are only gonna get better.
  18. man! that's some awesome fishin' there!

  24. hey guys. i was wondering if y'all would be so kind as to give me your recommendations on places that do quality lmb replica mounts. i would be particularly interested in hearing from folks who have had one done somewhere and how they felt about it. maybe post a link to the co.'s website if you could. i am lookin' to get one done soon (hopefully). i would love to say money is no object, but unfortunately it is. i'd like to keep it under $400 if possible, but can you get good work done at this price range? last bps catalog i got had an advertisement for "wildlife creations". their work looked to be good at a very reasonable price, but i realize this was an ad. has anyone had any experience with their work? i have also been told that you cannot get an exact replica with your fish's measurements if they do not have a mold for those proportions already. true? also, what would i have to supply. anything more than length and girth measurements and a few pics? guys, i realize this is a lot of questions and i appreciate any help i can get. it's just if i'm going to make this kind of investment in a piece of fiberglass, i want it done right. i'm sure there is probably already a thread on here about this somewhere, but there might be some new info since then. thank you so much for any help y'all can give.
