FYI - I tried the light wire and there is a small increase in vibration compared to .035 or .040 but about every third or fourth bass hooked the wire breaks where it comes out of the head of the spinnerbait. Technically the wire was stainless steel that I ordered from Barlow's Tackle and I was carefull not to create a harsh bend in the wire at the head. I believe this wire just flexes too much while fighting a fish and breaks where ridgid contact is made at the head. Good luck, and let me know if you don't encounter this problem or are able to find a solution.
