  1. The question is un-answerable and unfair, I dont care what anyone says. I had deep fried bacon at the state fair and it was way better than expected. Il take Jalapenos wrapped in bacon covered in cheese. I can live of that for the rest of what little life I would have. Im being serious.
  2. Bassn BLVD? LrgmthGambler? Honestly dont miss him though. If the human race depended on him to repopulate, he would try shagging a Curado and we would all be toast!
  3. There is a restaurant down the road from my house called Cafe sicilia. Nothing like your regular delivery. Cooked in a brick oven and tastes I-N-C-R-E-D-I-B-L-E! I get pepperoni, real italian sausage sliced fresh in thick chunks and olives. Matter of fact, Im ordering one RIGHT NOW!
  4. With punching, theres not alot you can do. Your punching through thick stuff, letting it hit bottom and its basically a lift and drop. I never work it more than 4 times. If I dont get anything after the 4th, I reel in and hit another spot. Its best to use baits with tight profiles and alot of action since your not really working it a whole lot. I love the Rage Tail Menace because it is compact and has good action with little movement.
  5. Check the last post I qouted Teal on. The Elite Swim head works Great worked through grass and even thicker stuff! I dont go less than a 1/2 oz with these. Excellent jigs!
  6. Teal, check this out. I was emailing back and forth with Mike trying to come up with a natural looking Bream color. He sent me this He said it wasnt quite on his site yet but would be soon. I ordered it on his Elite Swim head and trail it with a Rage Tail Menace in GP. Looks KILLER! This is my favorite swim style jig. From the head design, skirt color and all the way to the trailer. I use this jig to flip anything where I will be swimming the jig out. If im flipping somethin I want to reach bottom i go for the brush head, otherwise this gets the nod. All in all it has an incredible panfish profile.
  7. Not sure what types of trailers you like, BUT if you like Rage craws, the Falcon lake craw looks PERFECT matched with the Falcon craw jig. Okeechobee, Falcon, black & blue and when he comes out with Bama Craw ( hopefully he does) those will be the only 4 colors I will ever need!!
  8. red label huh? Now your going to lose the biggest fish of your life andyour rod guides are going to fall off cause red label is garbage.I thought I was the only guy left on earth who likes that stuff......
  9. big x2!! middle of August, weightless with a 3/0 hook fished very slow is KILLER. I dead stick them for a good 45 seconds, small twitch and drag, then deadstick again. Favorite colors are Cali 420, GP Magic and anything with a chartreuse tail!
  10. X2 on the menace! Can be fished alot slower and paused longer without sinking fast. An extremely versatile lure.
  11. Everything that has been said is spot on IMO. Try going straight black for color. A high action lure like a rage anaconda in junebug. Try the rage lizard as well. TONS of action.

I just realized Barlows is literally 30 min from my house. I service that area of the metroplex for work, pass by it 5-10 times a week. Holy crap.

I agree. there are ALOT of different plastics getting thrown around in the Bassmasters and FLW tournies. All them dudes are catching fish with 8" worms from 15 different manufacturers. They are catching because of WHERE they put the worm. The thing is figuring out the fish want a ribbon tail vs straight tail etc. This same logic applies to everything in fishing uncluding rods and reels. Chris lane won Bassmasters with All star rods. Who do you know that recommends Allstar rods? Its all about G loomis GLX and St Croix Legend Elite etc. etc. They may be worth the money because of what they are composed of, but buying a rod for 400$ is INSANE imo and totally unnecessary. But if it makes you happy, then Im happy for you.

depends on what your fishing. For someone who uses plastics most of the time, it can get expensive. 100 bucks Is roughly 20 packs of anything rage tail. I have gone through over 2 packs of thumpers in one day. Barlows sells a 9” ringer worm similar, and I use the word similar very lightly, to the recon. I will be buying a 50 pack for the days a worm bite is red hot. With that being said, nothing will ever replace rage tail imo. Like you said, different strokes for different folks.
  15. Well, if he won't take them,I gladly will!
  16. Nitro z lasted me 6 months. The spool started engaging mid-cast, every cast. Get the PQ I PROMISE you it is worth every single penny.
  17. who has or is using premiers? interested in the 7 MH/F casting model and a 7' M/F Spinning. Also, Cabelas offers the rod in a split grip. The description on Cabelas site says its strictly sold at Cabelas. Im assuming the rod is built the exact same as the Premier with full grips? Thanks guys.
  18. As my buddy always says, ” spit on it”.
  19. The PQ is a VERY respectable "Cheap reel". Possibly the best value in any reel on the market. Aluminum frame, dual brake system. I love mine and would gladly buy another. Buy it, you wont regret it.
  20. Havoc baits are awesome! I am a rage craw kinda guy, BUT I do also like the rocket craw. The pit boss is my absolute favorite beaver style bait. I believe it has more action than just about any beaver type bait on the market. A close second fav of mine is the SK Rodent. Subwoofer is an awesome swim jig trailer and I have also had successs with them fishing it like a Zoom Fluke in some ponds. For the budget angler, they definitely have their place. You cant beat 2.99$!!
  21. He still funny farming?

Anyone who can properly compose an English sentence. JK. Honestly though, no. I do however think it is a very critical tool in many lines of work. And, if you want ANYTHING sports related, you can get it on Twitter almost the instant it happens.
  23. Yeah I have read up on TW, there facebook and actual web page. Havent really found a negative thing at all. Just checkin round here too since I never really hear anything about em'.
  24. Did a search but didnt find much about these sticks. Anyone using them? Mainly the Jadewood series.
  25. I didnt even see them. I just checked them online though. I do love all the Fuji components but, the rod is not offered in a H power which is what Im wanting.
