Check around your area see if there is anyone scraping out boats. When I was looking for a trailer I was looking at the same trailers you are looking at. I ended up with a good trailer for 75.00.

I have a 2000 Johnson 15 I picked up slightly used 4 years ago. Has never given me any problems. Starts every time first pull. Don't want to talk you out of one of the others but my experence with the Johnson could not be better.

I've found just the opposite to be true, more people looking for a small boat to use in farm ponds and haul in the back of the pickup. But the price range is about right considering you can buy a new 10 ft tracker for 390.00 so I'm told. Buy the way I'd hold on to till everyone is fishing with the cold around Ks right now no one is thinking about fishing but me. I run a 14 foot Jon and a 15 Johnson. I've moved the fuel cell and battery to the center of the boat behind the center seat. This helped. If you have the fuel cell and battery in the back you may want to try this. I also tried several settings on the trim and found the best setting for 1 or 2 people. If you have tried all these Your way ahead.

Your not as crazy as me then. I went last weekend in the snow 16 hours round trip for a 78 Ranger with a 50 merc. Did find that My Tacoma had no problem pulling it in the worst weather. 78 Procraft sounds like a good boat and already rebuilt too.

id be scared to get caught with something under 18" without being sure.......lol That's for sure.
