  2. Mike, you need to check out a new local tackle shop in Merced. It is inside the "inside lines" shop on 16th street. They Carry lunker daddy lures (www.lunkerdaddy.com) and they make a great drop shot weight as well as tons of baits specific for the motherlode lakes. I am fortunate enough to be on staff for them and they make great baits. If you need any more info feel free to pm me.
  3. I am looking for a pro to sign up with for the Northern Trail of the Anglers Choise Pro Am for 2011. I am looking for one to sign up with for all three events so we can both be locked in. Grant
  4. I really like the new skeet rods, but hate the yellow and black, was wondering if there is a way to make them all black but worry about paint chipping off when the rod is loaded and flexing. Thanks
  5. Anyone fishing the delta lately? Going out on friday, wanted some inside on the bite. Thanks
  6. So dont be wearing no name sweats, bare foot, with a crawdad on the end of a piece of string tied to a branch when you catch it, or you are out of luck huh, hahahahaha LOL
  7. So have any of you heard the tale that " if you caught the record largemouth, it would be worth a million dollars?" I have heard this tons and tons of times from all sorts of fisherman. Taking into consideration I wonder what that million would be today? 2 Mill, 3 Mill....... Ok So here is the question and food for thought, if you have heard this before, tell me your thoughts on it and its validity. Where does the money come from? Sponsors? Commercials? Where? How does one get it out there? This has all arised from a new California State Record Striper That was caught this past month and the idiot weighed it, then ate it, and the scale wasnt certified by fish and game, so now his 70 Pounder will not be the new record. So where are certified scales? How do you make sure your 26 pound Large Gets in the record books when you catch it? Make sure you are fishing with a rod and reel from a company that has money hahhahaha? Thanks for taking the time, I am really interested to see what others have to say. If you want to see the article about the striper, it is in Aug 15th WON Weekly Paper. His 70.06 would have been the state record and the land Locked IGFA record.
  8. two spools of berkeley cabelas xml rod cabelas tournament zx reel swimming senko kit Still have more christmas time with other family to come also
  9. Ok well I will take all this good info and use it, I appreciate it
  10. Wow so no real precise side, everyone has there own opinion I guess. I guess I will flip a coin huh
  11. This would be to keep it going on in the same manner as it has been sitting? So the actual spool is not spinning?
  12. I have read through the forums, my directions on my reel, and some online videos have been watched. Now I am confused. Half of the info says to spool the line on by laying it flat and letting it come off the edge, and the other half says to let the spool spin like you would with a baitcaster. I just got a Cabelas Tournament ZX which is a Daiwa Reel. The Daiwa Instructions have a picture saying it should be spooled on by letting the spool spin like toilet paper and not off the edge laying flat. What is the consensus? Which way is right and why? If this has been asked before, please push me in the right direction, I could not find it. Thanks
