I am in nebraska, we have perty much had water in the mid to high 50's in most lakes until last week when I know the water was close to 70 in this pit due to 4-5 days of daytime temps around 75.then a cold front came in and the daytime air temps was about 60 for a high on this day in question. MY friend who fishes this lake had just caught a couple of big girls up close during the warm weekand the bucks are up shallow so you know we are in early spawn. It is like I said I could have caught all the bucks I wanted but I am more interested in where the females or any bigger fish for that matter go when you get high pressure with this kind of lake mark

  6. I was fishing a sandpit today with bluebird high pressure coming in 66degree water with about a 8 degree drop from the day before, bucks were on beds in about 1-3 ft water crystal clear water at least 10ft. visibility . My question is where do the females go in this situation there is no submerged or visible cover no creek channel no points to speak of mostly round with a few islands .I could of caught all the bucks I wanted but that gets old, I fished the first breaks off the "flats" down to 13ft. with a jig, shakeyhead cranks, jerkbait, plastic, everything you name it where in the hell do these fish go with high pressure comes in,I don't even mark fish suspended, when the weed growth gets going a little they go there but there is very little weed growth this time of yr. Any ideas? mark
  7. Does anyone have working with both" Lowrance fishing hotspots PRO, and Navionics Premium". I have seen the navionics pro and on the non-HD lakes the contour lines are roughly 5ft apart which is nothing to write home about. I haven't seen the lowrance maps but they appear to have their version of HD maps and then just enhanced maps and i was wondering how the 2 chips stack up in terms of features and accuracy. thnx mark
