Hello All, I am looking to upgrade my boat as my son has joined his high school fishing team and what I have now is just to tight for 3 people. Just to give a background I live in Birmingham, AL and he will be fishing lakes like Lay, Guntersville, Wheeler, Pickwick, Neely Henry, etc.. The High School tournament format requires a captain and 2 team members so space is important as you have 2 on the front deck (1 Fishing) and organization/compartments because of the amount of tackle required. I am not looking for anything with crazy speed but would like to stay in the mid 60's if possible. With that thought I am initially looking in 19-20 foot range and a 200. Trying to stay in the 35-40k range in total spend. Here is what I have looked @ so far all 2016 models: Stratos 294XL - 19.6 w/ 200 Triton 18TRX - 18.8 w/ 200 Nitro Z20 - 20.2 w/200 Also quality is important as well. I generally keep my gear in top shape so would hate to have something that is always requiring repair. I have also looked @ Phoenix, Ranger and Bass Cat but they seem to creep out of my range. Also open to other models if you guys are aware of something I am missing or a 2014/2015 used with low hours. Any input you can provide would be much appreciated.
