CT fishing trip
No, sadly all we caught was a couple (forgive my spelling) pickrels, as i had said-- nothing worth telling y'all about. But I did enjoy lake, maybe next year, I'll have some better luck. Still got some much to learn about how to catch anything worth keeping and sharing about.

CT fishing trip
I just wanted to say thank you to all the guys who gave me some great advice for my trip to CT. It was pleasant, although rather uneventful, pretty much stayed on Bungee Lake; had a fish or two on line but not anything worht telling y'all about. Again thank you for the tips.

jet skis are out .....
I agree with you guys, it is just a sign of disrespect for others on the water; while at the lake this weekend I watched as two young men(teenagers) criss crossed in an area where a family was "attempting to fish. Sadly I watched as the family pulled their lines out of the water and just left the lake. I think it's pitiful when people like that (the jet skiers) make it so less of us can enjoy a day on the lake, and there really isn't anything we can do- other than chance an altercation. Kudos to all you guys who have given them jet skiers a peace of your mind. In this day and age it takes nerve to chase down someone like that or hold your ground when they invade.

I want to thank you for all your helpful information on this, to you and the other members of this forum I am greatful. I'm glad there are people who are willing to help out a "newbie" like myself, people who are willing to share their fav. fishing spots and secrets. My son and I did catch a carp this past weekend at a lake close to home, we did the catch and release--I dont weigh the fish but it had to be at least two pounds--we caught it in the cove area of the lake, near a fallen tree. We didnt have much luck after that catch, but he does seem to enjoy reeling those fish in when it happens.

I noticed from your other posts that you have a lil one as well, have you taken her to fish on Bungee or witches woods? I will be having my boy with me -he's using his spongebob fishing gear-- he and I are kinda new to fishing together on our own--so I guess I am wondering if the areas we have talked about are "safe" and good for kids? ;D

I was wondering if you've ever caught anything worth keeping from the waters we've discussed? I hear alot of the fish up your way aint fit for cooking- due do pollution in some areas. No disrespect meant to anyone from CT, just what I had heard from people hear who came from up that way.

Thanks for the info -- yes I have full access to Bungee since my friend owns the house I'll be staying at. I ain't all that familiar with the CT area, and will most likely be spending most of my time at the house, which was why I was wonderin' about fishing on Bungee. I did a search of this area online and found a park area, which I believe was on the water as well, any clue as to access there? I prefer talk on the forum-aint real keen on the PM- si if you could let me know 'bout any other areas for me and my boy- I sure would be greatful.

Hi all, I have some vacation time coming in June and plan to go see friends up north. Got a place on Bungy Lake in Woodstock,CT; was wondering if any of you northerners have fish on it, or if ya might tell me of a peaceful place to fish from the shore. Would most likely be with my son, so something kinda close to Woodstock. Thanks ;D

taking young children fishing
thats a great idea with the dog food, I WAS wondering if there was a secret to making sure he may catch a fish. I know there's a chance he may not enjoy fishing, I just want to make sure it is something he gets to try & has fun. Have a feeling if he does catch one, he wanna make a new pet of it, like the slug he found on our walkway, the (dead) butterfly caught in the spider's web and so on.
