Open Water Froggin'?
x2 on the Rage tail shad.. They were knocking the snot out of it yesterday and if they missed I would follow up with a Ribbet for the fish.. They didn't want anything on top of the "scum" but as soon as the shad would hit the edge they would explode on it.. Picked up the Rage tail toad last night will see how that works

Rods on a budget
Update I ended up picking up a couple of the W&M "Skeet" rods.. The 7'0 crankbait that I will use for frogs/top-water and the 7'6" swimbait/carolina rig.. Had them on the water yesterday and both are quite heavier than my St Croix's(Mojo and Premier's) and also "whippy" but that helps casting the baits pretty far.. I feel these are decent rods for what I paid for them..but if I had to pay originol price then I think there are better rods out there for the $$$

Rods on a budget
What is the better value of rods? The W&M Tessera "Skeet" casting rods or All Star ASR ??? Both retail at around $100 but can get each little over $50 W&M at $52 + tax or the ASR $49 + tax and shipping I'm looking at the Swimbait,Toad and crankbait(throwing lip-less) in each brand so sensitivity will not be an issue TIA

Anyone here not enjoy sight fishing??
I've had to hang up my bass gear on my favorite pond this week and go after crappie and blugills.. I've never seen so many beds in this body of water..in a few places its beds every 3 feet from each other with some decent bass sitting on them.. IMO I would rather give them a couple weeks and let them do their thing than to molest them.. It gives me a reason to consentrate on some panfish for the freezer

Red Eye Shad
I believe in the crankbait mojo, thats why I bought 6 more Red Eyes thinking the 1st couple didn't have the "mojo".. Still no luck, and everytime I read 1 of these threads about how great the Red Eyes are it makes me even more determined to go out and sling them some more..

Lipless Cranks
Like Roadwarrior stated when the lip-less bite is on they all pretty much produce .. I can catch them on every brand except the SK Red Eye shad for some reason.. I also like to glue the weights in a few differant brands also

Red Eye Shad
I'm a big lip-less crankbait fan and for some reason I can not buy a fish off a Red Eye.. I read on here and other forums how people catch a ton of fish on the Red Eyes but as soon as I tie one on I cant catch anything.. I can whack them all day long on Hardcore Drums ,Rat-l-traps,Cordells and pretty much every other lip-less but for some reason not on Red Eyes..I cant figure it out..its frustrating

How do you organize your crankbaits?
All my tackle except plastics are kept in a Plano 3700 and labeled -terminal tackle -top-water -jerkbaits -floaters -jigs -crank baits -shallow -mid depth -deep and the depth is written on the baits My family thinks its weird and think I have an OCD problem but after coming to this site and seeing others do the same I feel a little normal now.. Seperating baits and labeling the boxes makes fishing so much easier on the water..When I need a bait I grab the right box and dont waste time digging through all the others looking for lures

Transducer Mounting Board II
What about using J-B Weld to fill the holes? years ago I installed a transducer board and all I did was fill the screw holes with silicone, let it set up a bit then put 2 beads of silicone around the board and mounted it..
