  1. Thanks Quinn....whatever info you can find out from your brother would be great....I really appreciate that. I look forward to hearing back from you.
  2. Anyone out there familiar with any of the lakes in Arkansas that they really like for largemouth or smallies?? We would be going over the summer and hoping to get some tips about which lakes may be better fishing than others that time of year.
  3. I was looking for any feedback on when the best time to use braided line is. I'm seeing lots more use braided and I was just wondering....if I'm fishing a lake for largemouth...is it better to use something like 50# braided line versus something like 16# mono??? and do you use a leader with braided? Any feedback would be appreciated.
  4. My wife and I are going to be camping and fishing at Pomme de Terre Lake in Missouri the first week of June and was was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on locations that have been productive for them in the past. We will be at the Hermitage State Park area.
  5. Hi Phil My wife and I have also been looking for a smaller 2-person craft to fish from...we've looked at the ones you mentioned, but in our case, we need something a little more portable...something we dont have to put in the bed of my truck that's going to take up all the space...mainly because we will often be pulling our travel trailer and need that area for camping stuff....so, we have been looking at the SeaEagle Foldcat 375 inflatable....they run about $1200, but all the reviews i've read and researched speak very highly of the craft. Check it out online...see what you think.
  6. Well thanks for the welcome Popeye...I definitely like this forum better than a couple of others I've been on....lots of information here and very well organized. In regard to the Seaeagle....I have done lots of net research also....haven't found anything negative yet...and talked to an independent sales person of those crafts and he said he's been to Alaska, etc. with the Seaeagle and it handled great on Level II waters also....we're just needing something portable since most of our trips we'll also be pulling our 30 foot travel trailer. I'll check out the Skookum's also....thanks for the reply
  7. My wife and I are looking into buying a Seaeagle 375 Foldcat inflatable and was wondering if anyone out here had any knowledge of those boats. They appear to be just what we would like in terms of portability, stability, etc. for both cove fishing in lakes and floating some of the Missouri Rivers. Any feedback or reviews would be greatly appreciated. FisherCouple
