  1. Thats what I'll do , as for the pics I have just the tear apart pics & will post when I get it all done. Thanks again
  2. GatorTom, sweet boat I have the same boat but in 14' & maybe alittle newer my transome has 2 more braces. When you decked the middle floor did you use 2 sheets of plywood cause for me to cover the floor ribs i wood need like 56'' & I did'nt want to use 2 peices I thought they might want to shift & then u would see it threw the carpet.
  3. First off I just want to Say to every one that did a bass conversion Awsome jobs & what a big help. I have a 14'v bottom that I want to deck. I have two questions my first one is the wooden part of the transom, It is rotted out & i'm going to replace it . The way it is now there is two 3/4'' peices of plywood sandwiched together i wanted to know if one piece of say fur or pine maybe even oak would be better or should i stick with the two 3/4'' pieces ? The second is the front casting deck, there is a bench seat with a bracket on each side & the bench slides in & bolts in place. I would remove the bench & slide my deck in & brace with angle underneath. That would put the deck only 8'' from the top . Is that low enough to still be stable to stand on or should i mount under the brackets? Maybe you guys who decked your v bottoms check your deck height? Thanks
