I was fishing in my buddy's 16 ft tracker when a rediculous wind came up and blew me into a rocky shoreline before I could get the motor started. The boat and motor took quite a pounding on the rocks until I managed to get the trolling motor down and managed to pull away. While inspecting the dents and scrapes I noticed the fin on the lower unit of the 25HP 4 Stroke Merc was not straight. Is this how it's supposed to be or did it possibly get bent on the rocks?
Instead of fishing it looks like I'm going to spend my weekend with some touchup paint and a rubber mallet trying to smooth out the dents and scratches. Hopefully I won't have to replace his lower unit too.
Thanks for your time,
Brad
