The catch rate at a particular pond has went way up in the last week and I'm wondering why. Maybe someone can answer.
Things that may be contributing factors....
1) Bass are spawning
2) 200lbs of minnows added to pond (~2 acres in size)
3) Stocked with additional 50 bass
4) Abnormally high amount of rain with severe storms
I'm using the same lures with the same techniques. The majority of the bass caught are within 10' of the bank.
I'm a beginner and I'm trying to learn what factors turn bass on or off.
I used it for the first time this spring and have had some sucess. 8-)
I fish it the same way I would fish a deep running crankbait.
