hey i'm on vacation in old saybrook and i'm looking for a lake to go to somewhere near here...

alright so i'm from the nwc of ct...this was our first day out...it was about 56 degrees in the air, but the water was freezing...we used all crankbaits and fished them really slow...surprisingly we caught 8 fish...heres a couple pics...oh and this is in mudge pond in sharon.. first fish of the year for bill my first of the year(to get a good idea of size, i'm 6'2, 275) it was around 4 pounds haha bill posing for the people on the road and my last of the day

the next 10 days look good..

yesterday was the first "warm" day here...up until then it was just as you described...but...we went out and caught about 8 bass today ranging from 4 lbs to a little under 2 lbs...all of them were in the same area, all shallow....we were using crankbaits...bomber a's and rapala dts i can't wait to post the pics...2 more posts! sidenote, i got a BIG bass on after we got there that took my lure and snapped my line...he would've been bigger than the other bigger bass i caught that day...

we went out to mudge pond today in sharon, ct and we caught some LUNKERS...i can't post pics yet because of the post number thing but as soon as i have enough i'll post them up...first bass of the year was my biggest ever ;D

i like the bps catalog better but i don't like that bps uses usps as shipping alot of the time...
