  1. Was on the Econ river last week looking for monster bass, caught about 8 in the 2-4lb range. The funny thing is...I have a digital scale and we kept weighing these fish and they'd come up as 1, 1.2, 1.8, 2.1, etc I was thinking that sure looks like a four lb fish. Guess I got rusty on my weight guessing over the winter. Anyway, got home and tested the scale and realized it was set to metric, which is 30:14/lbs:kgs. Had a great time and laugh. Fish On!
  2. Where can I get "The BASS Channel"??????
  3. Greetings, Last Friday I broke away from work long enough to get down to the river, which is still VERY high. I rode my bike down the main trail to the wooden bridge, went west until I found a nice little peninsula at the mouth of a 'duck' pond that gets filled each time the river crests. I was able to cast right at the mouth of the pond and was able to land a 2.5 lb bass. Was about the length of a 1.5 lb fish but was REAL fat, they've been eating well. Not a trophy, but beats working. Looking forward to river subsiding enough to spot the deep water holes. Cheers, Dallas

  5. Right on! senile1, thanks. Here's hoping for some warm bass catchin weather for you. It was 82deg here yesterday(central Florida), windy as all get out, but was kayaking a small river so all was good.
  6. Just to chime in...first post on the forum: I saw these on TV infishermanTV show...basically a infomercial for strike king, anyway, I was sold, went to Gander Mtn and bought two bags of Rage Tail Chads, white and blueish. I was hoping to find a photo of the rigging, but common sense tells you to rig as seen above. My third cast, bass on! I must have hit him the head because I didn't even get the lure on surface before he hit it. Later that day I had a great top water hit on a quick retrieve. As for these baits, I like plastics and these are versatile as I can rig a 4/0 offset hook and switch from Chad to Senko without tying a knot ;D I give them thumbs up!
