Did some shopping at gander mtn. the other day and about the only rod I could find that was fiberglass was made by american rodsmith, a david fritts cranking series. It definitely has that "fiberglass rod feel" that I keep reading about in the magazines (forgiving, etc.) The only downfall I can think of with the rod was that it was pretty heavy. I am guessing that no matter what fiberglass rod I use that is gonna be the case. Am I right? Can anyone give their opinion on this rod? I am new to bass fishing and want to get the most bang for my buck. This rod was 7 ft, med heavy, 3/8 to 1 & 1/4 oz., 10-30# and was priced at $69. Any input would be appreciated or if there is a fiberglass rod out there that just blows this one away, let me know! thanks,
