Hey, i've got a couple of Qs regarding his article. First, he likes crankbaits best. Well, I have a question. Do they really WORK? Another thing. He despises spinnerbaits. Well, i caught three fish on it the other day. And it was simple too. Yet another Q. Why does he say it takes lots of patience to catch fish with plastic worms, when they're the biggest bass producer (at least according to A Guide to Freshwater Fishing.) And furthermore, i got a fish like the second or third time a cast. Now, i know i sound stupid here, so please don't make fun. -john

Hey there, Yeah, i know whatcha mean. But it's nice (at least for a biginner:P) to have something to show for all your efforts! I sure don't wanna overfish that pond. It's very large IMO for a pond, and i don't think anyone fishes there so i'm not overly worried about it. I don't fish that good yet:P

Hey! Thanks for the help! Went fishing last Saturday in a big pond around here... me and my brother caught 8 bass!! Kept only three tho. Caught three on a spinnerbait (in the morning and evening) and the rest on plastic worms. You all must be a higher class of human beings, because all my bass seem to have hooked themselves. Anyway, we put them on a stringer. Came back later, and found that a huge snapping turtle had been snacking on one of them. I was very upset. He was sooo big, and soo ugly. His neck musta been nearly a foot long! Anyway thanks for the help. -john

Hello there, I'm a 15 year old new to bass fishing. I've got a silly question. how do u fish spinnerbaits? One book i read says to jig them, and an article on this website says retrieve them fairly fast. Thanks, john
