Clubs in NE OK???
Lookin for something for a person who is getting back into fishing. nothin reel serious, more for a time killer. Also does any one know of a father/son trail. when my son is older would be interestred in teaching him about the outdoors, conservation, and catch and release. Also i think competition is healthy for a young boy and it would be a great way to spend more time with the familiy. Just an idea.

Bass Pro Tourney Baitcaster
Just wondering about a code I saw in Heartland magazine. It is advertising this reel for 30 dollars and free shipping. I am a firm believer in u get what u pay for, but am wondering if it would be worth it to have as a spare or jus to play with. Does anybody have one, are they any good at all. It gets mixed reviews on the basspro website. Thanks

My worst ever tournament.
U think u had it bad? We fished a tourney on sat. The weatherman said 65,it never hit 50 with a dead North wind of 25 mph. We had a plug leak about the time we got to the spot. So we hadto pump out the boat and replace the plug in the water. My partner who is the man who taught me to fish backlashed so bad it had to be cut out at the end of the spool. No line means no reel. I had a bearing fall out of one of mine. Down two poles. And we got one bite all day and it got off. We fished for 8 hours. Only 5 teams out of 30 weighed in fish. 1 had a limit. The rest had one fish. Thats eight fish total out of 30 teams and eight hours. I feel your pain.......... trust me. >

Mini Boats
I have noticed some you guys talk about electric bass boats or high voltage boats.....Is this the same thing as a mini boat?

IHSA high school bass fishing
Man that sounds great. Personally I think If you want to do it you should take charge. Not only will u get to fish, but you will gain valuable experience and it will look good on a college application. Especially if u go to a school that has a tourney team. As far as sponsorship goes, don't be afraid to go big. There are alot of major corporations who would praobably love to get involved with something like that, especially since you will be the first. I coach a 12 and under baseball team in OK and we have sponsorship from nike, gatorade, and under armour. They are just waitng for people to ask. Good Luck and keep us posted. 8-)

Mini Boats
It is a regular bass tourney. No outboard motors allowed. 1 day,5 fish limit. We do have a portable live well. Andwe are fishing out of a remodeled aluminum boat with two trolling motors for power. I guess you u can call it a poor mans Tourney. I have fished Regular tournaments since high school, but am new to this circuit.
