I don't have a problem using minnows and the like for others species of fish but that is taking it a little too far imo.

By definition you are not actually noodling then? Every show on noodling I have ever seen it is done with their bare hands.

I went out 3 weeks ago on Mar. 8 for about a hour. Water seemed very cold, didn't get one bite. I was fishing the west arm from shore.

Good luck with all of the boat traffic. Once it really gets hot down here in July/August there is way too much traffic on Lake Shelbyville. Besides other fishing boats there will be a crap load of pwc's and large boats since it is one of the only lakes in central IL that is large enough for higher hp boats to stretch their legs.
