What would you throw...
I am going to a new lake tomarrow morning and dont know what to use for lures. I am thinking of using my go to bait a blue flack craw or a green pumkin craw and just flip anything were there is good cover. We have had a cold front come through the past few days. Reports say the water temp went from 57 to now 50 degrees plus or minus 2. Tomarrow it is going to be partly cloudy and about 50 out a north wind in the morning swiching to a south wind about noon. Any advice on lures I should use?

Can you find the honey hole at this lake...
The backwater or on the north end of the lake north of martel road is all 3ft deep except for two deep deep hole that they dug to make the dikes that stick out into the lake you can see them on the SAT they are on the north side of the dikes. The water is 3ft deep now back them it was a mud hole when the SAT was taken.

Can you find the honey hole at this lake...
Yes you can fish the north side of martel road. It is now full and going way back up into the creek. I had some great luck back up in there waterfowl hunting 2007 fall. The water is about 3ft and does not go up until it hits the shore. I went fishing there once last summer and saw a few thousand shad feeding on something back in the shollows it was in about 6inches of water I tried to fish a frog to see if any large bass were trying to feed on the shad but got nothing. Do you think the muskie would do anything to the bass populations?

Can you find the honey hole at this lake...
The lake is largemouth bass. I fishes that lake last summer to early fall. I caught a 42" muskie out of the southeast corner of the lake. As far as weed I have not had any prolbems withs weeds as far as getting them on my lures and stuff I have only fished off the bank. The lake was completly drained about 5 years ago they had bad bad bad carp problems and have now said no live bait execept for worms. They have stocked the lake with bluegill, LM bass, muskie which were stocked at 13" long and a LOT of walleye. I havent heard much on the muskie fishing but I caught one. All I have heard about is the bass fishing. I do know the were to two point kind of come to gether there is a sunkin bridge that goes across the lake it is suppose to be good for walleye. I dont know if this info is helping but Ill throw it out there. Thanks so far I am going to try and get out soon will let everyone know how it goes.

Can you find the honey hole at this lake...
No It is full!!! last spring it filled up almost to the top of the over flow!!! there is a path that runs close to water so that you can fish off the dam and it was under water this spring the boat dock didnt have enought chain on it and was sitting as high as it could go and it had 2 inches of water on it. The dikes that you see sticking out in the lake were almost underwater they were about 6 inches from being uderwater. The entire summer the lake was draining. It only stoped becaue of the ice over this winter now that the ice is gone it is still going back down to its normal level. The satalite photos is way to old. THE LAKE IS FULL!!!

I am looking to go fish here this summer. I was told by several people that guys are catching 5lbs.+ I can not figure out were these guys are catching them off of the lake map. I do know there is a lot of submerged trees on the east side of the lake. Let me know if you can find the honey hole. http://www.ngpc.state.ne.us/fishing/programs/lakemapping/pdfs/wagontrain.pdf

Need some help from a pond mangement MASTER!
What sould I do some of you are saying take a lot out and some are saying dont take more than 30. What is a happy medium? Stocking that lake is out of the picture so the bass are just going to have to eat bluegill and what ever else is in there. Something just dawned on me I have seen 1 carp and good sized one but only one. Could he be part of the trouble?

Want Sponsors?
I am a 15 and would love to be sponsored but just have not tried. I do agree with some people, that it give you a badge that says you a great angler. How much does a sponsor really help you out. I understand if it is a large contract but lets say I ask ZOOM BAITS to sponsor me and they say ya. Are they going to give me a few packs of worms and stuff a month? This was just a question I have had.

Need some help from a pond mangement MASTER!
So if I need to take bluegill out, how many? I am just think of forgeting the trophy bluegill lake and staying with the trophy bass lake. The water temp is about 55 degrees. Dont bass spawn at 62-70 degrees? If so I need to start to take blue gill out now.

Need some help from a pond mangement MASTER!
I have a few questions about a 15 year old pond and how to mange the bluegill and bass together. Some info about the pond. It is a 3 acre pond. It has 3 aerator's. It is 15 years old, it was stock with bass for the first 10 years and was stocked with bluegill the first 5 years. It has not been stock with anything in 5 years. Now my questions. I believe that I have to many bluegill in the pond you cant cast anywhere without getting a nibble from a bluegill. The bluegill really are not trophies at all. The largest one I have caught is 8inch. So what I was thinking of doing is taking all of the bluegill from 2" to 8" and taking them out of the pond. I want the pond to be a trophy bluegill lake and bass lake. What would this do to the bass popluation and growth? The bass in the lake seem to be doing good as far as heathlyness. I have notice there are fewer bass every year but they seem to be getting fat er every year. But I do know that they are reproducing because I will catch a small young bass every so often. So what would happen if I do the bluegill thing like I said up in the other paragraph? All of the help will be great. I dont know if this is just the cycle of the lake or if the bluegill are eating to much of the forage. Thanks, the help will be great!!!
