My Boat Redo
Jon, This boat had like 6 different layers of paint, it was tough to get off. Im a pilot for a corporate company and we have our own maint. department. I used Aicraft Grade stripper that I bought through work. It was thicker than syrup too. I spread it on thick. Covered the whole thing with plastic sheeting and let it sit inside for 2 hours, then I moved it outside and used a pressure washer to remove the paint. It took me around 18 hours and 2 gallons of the stripper to do the entire boat, inside and out. Mainly because of the paint that was on it. If it was just one layer of paint I was taking off, it woulda have been like 6 or so. The stripper and pressure washer worked great. Im keeping it in a buddy's barn/shop through the redo and will add more pics next time I get to work on it, but its ready to paint now and then put everything I want in it.

My Boat Redo
I got this old 14 ft Starcraft v bottom from my dad. He must have painted it 7 times over 25 years, its been tough. Got the outside completely done, going to start the inside. Not going to deck it, but I have taken the 3 benches out already, only going to put 2 back in it for better spacing and they are going to be a lot lower so I can add 2 pedestals for real seats, but you still wont be sitting way over the top of the boat. Going to put rod holders on the sides and I ordered one of the Toho Rig livewells. Going to paint it OD green. Add some flat fooring as low as I can, just somewhere nice and flat to put your feet and stand. The boat is in excellent shape just had a lot of paint on it............lol
